About a month ago I had the chance to try out some sports photography at the FCC Semi-Pro Bouldering Competition hosted by The Front. Here are a few pictures I took at the Semi-Finals. It was a lot of fun trying out a new style of photography. And it helped a lot that it was photographing something I love! Stay tuned for a few pictures from the Finals competition!
Check out these super cute pictures I took of the Peterson Family! Their kids are just adorable, especially miss Brooklyn :). We went out to SoDa Row in Daybreak to take these (good idea Amy!). It only took about 45 minutes to get these pictures done, it was amazing. Let me know what you think!
This is little miss Nora, born mid April. She is my new baby niece. I went out to visit when she was born and got to take some pictures of her. She’s the best baby anyone could ever ask for. Super calm, super sleepy, doesn’t mind getting her outfit changed ;) … atleast not yet. This was by far one of my easiest newborn sessions I’ve ever done. And, since she’s my niece, and I’m just a little bit obsessed with her, lol…enjoy about a million pictures of her ;)
Finally! Here is the post for Melanie and Brian’s wedding! They got married in March at This is the Place, Heritage Park. It’s a really neat place for a wedding. They had the ceremony in the little chapel, and then we got to wander around the grounds for their portraits. It’s super cool if you like a more rustic feel. Thanks again Melanie & Brian for choosing me! I had a lot of fun being your photographer :)
Baby Lorelai is here! Her bis sister Lyla has been featured on the blog a few times, and now it’s Lorelai’s turn :) We took her pictures when she was about two weeks old. She was a super good baby for me, once she was asleep I got to move her around and change her outfits as much as I wanted. Lyla on the other hand, was not interested in me at all, haha. But what almost-two year old ever is, right? Anyway, on to the pictures!
Halli is my Sister-in-law, and was in town for a visit, so we decided to go out and take some maternity shots, and a couple cute family pictures too. We went to the old railroad station area in Lehi. It’s a really awesome place to take pictures because there is such a variety of different looks and textures to use. I think Halli looks AMAZING, and I’m so glad she lets me experiment on her with photos :)
Ellie and Brandon got married back in February and it was a wonderful day! It was a bit windy at the Draper temple (as it always is) but it was a really nice day besides that ;). After roaming around the temple grounds for a bit, we headed over to Camp Williams for their reception. It is a super neat place to have a reception, so if you have any ties to the military and are looking for a reception venue, definitely check it out.
Miss Jenica turned 1 recently and needed some pictures to celebrate! Mom liked the shoot I did at So Cupcake from before, and decided they wanted to do pictures there too. We were able to get a lot of really adorable shots of her in a pretty short amount of time since she usually takes a nap right around when we started, and she was dwindling fast. Jenica dove right in to the giant cupcake they got for her. So cute, since it seems like a lot of kids don’t like getting covered in frosting. After all the frosting was cleaned up, and clothes were changed, we took just a couple family shots around the shop too that turned out super cute.
Melanie and I met up at Memory Grove in downtown Salt Lake a few weeks ago to shoot her Bridal Portraits. It was a great day! Nice and warm with the perfect amount of cloud cover to soften the light. I really love taking bridal pictures, they’re one of my favorite kind to shoot. And of course Melanie looks amazing which makes my job so easy! :)
